Bright Feast of the Christ’ Resurrection – Holy Pascha!

Dear Brothers and Sisters!

The time of the great lent is close to the completion. We are approaching the celebration of the Bright Feast of the Christ’ Resurrection – Holy Pascha!

We are happy to inform you that by your prayers and by efforts of the acting rector Fr. Vasyl we will have a priest for celebration of Pascha! The Lord sends us a special visitor, Archpriest John. He will share with us the holy days of Paschal feast and will officiate the Divine services on Great Friday evening, Great Saturday morning and evening and on Paschal Sunday morning. Please follow the exact schedule updated on the respective church webpage:

Father John has arrived from the Chernovtsy region at Western Ukraine. He is fluent in Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian, and Moldavian languages. We expect that all parishioners will find a common language with our special guest! Please share this information with your acquaintances and friends from the neighborhood and nearby towns.

There are several details on the coming Divine services:

  • There will be no confessions on Sunday morning. In case you plan to receive Holy Communion, please plan to attend Saturday evening service and confess on Saturday. Kids younger than 7 years old are not required to confess.
  • The Cross procession will start exactly at 9am on Sunday morning. During Cross procession, everyone is expected to leave the Church building and stay outside. All lights have to be turned off. Please prepare in advance.
  • Blessing of eggs, Easter curd puddings (paskhas), and Easter Cakes (kuliches) will take place after the Divine Liturgy at the Trapeza’ room (canteen). The central part of the church is for Divine services and it is strictly forbidden to bring there any meat products.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, please do not miss the opportunity to experience the God’s blessing. Do not miss the main Christian Feast! Pascha is the Feast of the Feasts and Triumph of the Triumphs!
