Every year after the Great Blessing of the water a priest per request of the parishioners comes to the houses to read special prayers and bless houses with holly water to expel the enemies. Some people mistakenly believe that if the house have been already blessed before, there is no need to get a new blessing. Blessing of the houses is an annual need as well as blessing of the new year.
